Pier Park Christmas Parade

Our family decided Saturday that we would venture out to the Pier Park Christmas Parade. It was cold, but not unbearable for our little one. We wrapped a blanket around him in his stroller and he was good to go!

We arrived only minutes before the start of the parade, parked in a nearby restaurant's parking lot, and scurried over to the front of Dillard's east doors. And we waited. And waited. And finally- the Parade! Despite the wait, we could not have chosen a better spot! No crowd and we could see everything close. The down side, all of the candy was gone by the time the parade came to us (is that really all that bad?). There were a few major gaps- perhaps it should have been better timed. Our tot became a little impatient. So did we.

Local Girl Scouts

Surfside Middle School Band

The ever-popular Chick-Fil-A cow.

Beach Mosquito Patrol

Ron Jon's Surf Shop group

Beach Fireman

Beach Fire Truck

Santa came to town atop a fire truck. Our little one was amused! But he was difficult to see- from the picture only a glimpse of a white glove can be seen. Wish he would have been it more light.

So, if you are in town, or a local, it was a fun parade to watch- while shopping. Santa is always a plus.
